Handball is one of our most ancient and treasured national games.
It is fast-paced, highly skilful and hugely entertaining with clear health and fitness benefits in terms of speed, agility, endurance, flexibility, and bilateral coordination.
The game has a strong local tradition with a handball alley located in the centre of Lusk up to 1999.
The snippet below from the Drogheda Independent of 28 August 1915 makes mention of some handball matches in the “newly erected ball-court”:

A meeting to re-establish a handball club in Lusk took place on Monday 25 April 2022 in the clubhouse.
Everybody interested in re-establishing handball in Round Towers Lusk and the wider community is welcome to join this exciting project. Please contact the club at roundtowerslusk.office@gmail.com
